Consultation Summary Report released
Posted
29 April 2020
Public consultation was undertaken from 1 August to 30 September 2019, with the Planning for the future of South Australia’s Pastoral Rangelands Discussion Paper released to help guide feedback and consultation. Around 260 submissions were formally received during this consultation period, with key stakeholders from across the pastoral industry, interest groups and government providing important feedback, which is now being used to shape the new Act.
A report has been developed to provide a summary of consultation, which largely demonstrated widespread support for the review and encouraged significant reform within the future Act.
What are the next steps?
PIRSA continues to work towards developing a new draft Pastoral Bill, which will be released for further consultation later this year. This consultation will include targeted engagement with key stakeholders to ensure we continue to gather your feedback on the Bill, refine it and prepare it for introduction into Parliament.
