On 28 February - 1 March 2016, Premier Jay Weatherill and Cabinet Ministers visited the Port Augusta and Northern Flinders Ranges region as part of the Country Cabinet program. 

This was the first Country Cabinet meeting of 2016, and provided a chance for locals to attend a public forum, speak directly with ministers in one-on-one meetings, or join the online discussion. 

Community forum and barbecue

A public forum and barbecue was held on Sunday 28 February. The event was open to anyone with an interest in the issues that affect the Port Augusta, Northern Flinders Ranges and Leigh Creek regions.

Meet a minister

Country Cabinet also provided the chance for people to apply for one-on-one meetings with Cabinet Ministers to raise issues directly with the key decision-makers.

Leigh Creek community luncheon

A public lunch was held on Tuesday 1 March. The event was open to anyone with an interest in the issues that affect the Leigh Creek region. Community members joined us for lunch and to talk with South Australian Cabinet Ministers to share ideas and solutions.
