We want your feedback on the draft Regulations and Practice Directions which support the Phase 1 roll-out of the new Planning and Design Code (the Code).

This engagement forms part of a new planning and development system for South Australia.

What is being decided?

We are deciding the draft Planning, Development and Infrastructure (General) (Development Assessment) Variation Regulations 2019 (the draft Regulations), as well as four draft practice directions, which support the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016.

We want to hear your views on what you believe are the key issues in the draft Regulations which relate to development assessment and how the draft Regulations can better support our new development assessment system.

The draft Regulations and four Practice Directions cover these areas which we would like you to consider:

  • Relevant authorities
  • Application time frames
  • Information requirements
  • Public notification
  • Variations
  • Exemptions
  • ePlanning
