This online engagement was hosted on YourSAy from 7 December 2018 to 31 January 2019. Below is a record of the consultation process.
We want your feedback on the South Australian Government’s Online Accessibility Policy.
What is being decided?
We are inviting key stakeholders, public sector employees and the general public to provide feedback on the State Government of South Australia's Online Accessibility Policy.
The online accessibility policy aims to ensure that all members of the South Australian community are able to access government information and services online. The policy defines the minimum accessibility requirements for government websites and online services, including website design, content and functionality. Once implemented, the policy will ensure that all government websites and online platforms are accessible to those living with a disability.

What are the changes?
View the WCAG 2 quick reference guide to what makes websites and other online platforms accessible. They range from choice of colours, to how images and videos are presented, to website navigation and content, and how hyperlinks are displayed to ensure compatibility with online accessibility tools (such as screen readers).
How you can get involved
Read the South Australian Government Online Accessibility Policy and provide your input by:
- joining the online discussion
- emailing your feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org
- calling Acting Operations Manager, ICT and Digital Strategy, Cliff Edwards on (08) 8226 2379.
How will your input be used?
Community feedback will be reviewed and considered for inclusion in the final Online Accessibility Policy.
Feedback will also be used to shape the Online Accessibility Toolkit, which will used to support government agencies in the understanding, creation and delivery of accessibility of new government online platforms.
For general enquiries, please phone (08) 8226 2379 or email email@example.com.
