Fund My Idea Portside invited projects that were to be delivered in the Port Adelaide Enfield council region. Up to $50,000 was made available. The following projects received funding:
Fontanelle Gallery & Studios moves to the Port! ($30,000)
Fontanelle Gallery & Studios is a creative hub located at Bowden that aims to sustain an innovative visual arts culture. It currently houses two galleries, a technical workshop, installation area and a dedicated space for artist-led workshops. The grant will allow the Fontanelle Gallery & Studios to relocate to Port Adelaide.
A Night to Remember - a gala ball for young people with disabilities ($13,000)
The grant will allow Down Syndrome SA to run a gala ball for young people with an intellectual disability. It is hoped that the success of the first event will help to engage a corporate sponsor to help make it an annual event.
