Posted
11 February 2021
Cabinet have approved the variations to the Forestry Regulations 2013. This includes modest increases to regulated fees and the introduction of a per vehicle fee for campsite bookings.
Variations also include greater controls concerning the lighting of fires, use of aircraft and drones, and use of chainsaws within forest reserves.
An amendment to regulation 20 – Bringing animals into reserves, will see ForestrySA introduce designated areas where dogs must be restrained on a lead, including campgrounds, picnic areas and other high visitation areas identified by the Corporation.
ForestrySA would like to thank the community and stakeholders who participated in the consultation process and contributed to the updated Forestry Regulations.
