Community Information Summary report released

We are committed to ensuring that the Barossa and surrounding communities have the health services they need now and into the future. As part of that commitment, funding has been allocated for the development of a business case to investigate the need for and viability of a new hospital to provide health services in the Barossa.

Across October and early November 2019 the Barossa and surrounding communities, stakeholders and health professionals were invited to provide input about health needs, perspectives and priorities.

A Community Information Summary report for the Future health care in the Barossa is now available.

All of the information from the engagement process is currently being examined alongside best practice standards, population data and demographics of the area. This will help to determine the levels of service that can safely and efficiently be provided by a future Barossa hospital or health service.
