March 2017 Update
The process for considering this unsolicited proposal is formally on hold by the State Coordinator-General. Further information will be provided when it becomes available.
The public consultation period on the Martindale Hall Partnership’s proposal has now closed. As part of the three-stage process for considering unsolicited proposals, the Martindale Partnership is refining its proposal and Government will next be assessing whether to proceed to Stage 3 of the unsolicited proposals process.
The SA Government has received an unsolicited proposal for the purchase or long-term lease of the Martindale Hall property, and we're keen to hear your views on the proposal.
The proponent - Martindale Hall Partnership - has proposed the development of a wellness retreat and five-star resort in their initial proposal. The Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources is leading the process for assessing this proposal under the Guidelines for Assessment of Unsolicited Proposals.
The Partnership will take community views into account, especially in reference to Martindale Hall, its Coach House and the other structures that are listed on the State Heritage Register. All feedback will be considered as the Partnership provides its final submission to the Government.
