What does this organisation do?
D'faces is a youth focussed arts organisation that provides skill development and mentoring for people aged 6 - 27 years. To express their creativity and a safe and supportive environment, to be inspired, to imagine the nonexistent and to bring it into the world. We provide work for local artists, space for other arts organisations to meet and create and vibrancy within our community with our work.
Young people disengaged from education and work
We all want the best for our children and young people but the evidence suggests that if young people are not engaged with work or education their future wellbeing is in jeopardy. They are more likely to experience social and economic disadvantage, poorer physical and mental health and be at risk of social exclusion in the short and longer term.
Communities experiencing locational disadvantage
Where people live affects their access to social and economic opportunities and therefore their relative advantage or disadvantage. Some South Australian communities have entrenched disadvantage.
