Consultation outcome

Thank you for your interest in the future of single-use plastics in South Australia, and for participating in the review of the South Australian Single-use and Other Plastics Products (Waste Avoidance) Act 2020 (the SUP Act), which was conducted by Mr Richard Dennis AM PSM.

Consultation for the review was open from 12 August to 11 October 2024.

The feedback received during the consultation period, along with information gathered in meetings with key stakeholders, workshops, and further research conducted by Mr Dennis have informed the review.

The review, available on the Replace the Waste website, outlines 30 recommendations for the South Australian government to consider improving and strengthening the SUP Act.

A government response to the report is currently being prepared for the minister.
