Adelaide Botanic Garden is one of South Australia’s most visited and loved institutions.

Established in 1855, the Garden has grown with the city, providing a rich array of leisure, tourism, cultural, and health and wellbeing opportunities for the community and visitors. Adelaide Botanic Garden has significant cultural, architectural and scientific value.

With the completion of a number of infrastructure projects in the Garden, and a renewed focus and investment in the eastern corner of the city, the time is right to review the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, Masterplan Report July 2006, to ensure the future sustainability of Adelaide Botanic Garden.

The preparation of the revised Masterplan has involved extensive consultation with the Board, Gardens management and staff. In addition, presentations to a broad range of stakeholders have been delivered and input has been sought during this consultation process.

The new Adelaide Botanic Garden Masterplan 2020 will supersede the previous 2006 Masterplan and will present possible future infrastructure plans and investments in the garden. These proposals are being shared with the community for their feedback.
