Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary Draft Management Plan 2024
Consultation has concluded
Have your say on the future management of the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary (ADS).
What's being decided?
The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary Draft Management Plan 2024 is a strategic document developed to outline the long-term objectives and strategies to manage this important environment.
Your feedback will help shape how the Sanctuary is managed into the future.
Background
The first management plan for the ADS was adopted in 2008, and is now under review as per Section 11(3) of the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary Act 2005. Like the previous ADS management plan, the new plan must ensure that the objectives of the Act are delivered. The objectives are unchanged.
The new management strategies in the plan are identified from reviewing the challenges and opportunities facing the ADS. It’s being developed with input from key stakeholders, the Kaurna Nation, volunteers and experts with an interest in the Sanctuary. It is presented here so that everyone with an interest in the ADS can have their say on what the management will look like in this important area.
