Campbelltown City Council Boundary Change Inquiry
Have Your Say on a Proposed Change to the Campbelltown City Council's Boundaries.
What's being decided?
The Campbelltown City Council has proposed to include within its boundaries two areas currently in Adelaide Hills Council, being:
- Portion of Woodforde
- Portion of Rostrevor
We are seeking community feedback on the proposal.
Background
The South Australian Local Government Boundaries Commission (the Commission) is an independent body responsible for investigating proposals to change council boundaries and makes recommendations to the Minister for Local Government. Find out more about the Commission at SA Local Government Boundaries Commission.
The Commission is conducting an Inquiry into a boundary change proposal submitted by the Campbelltown City Council. The areas affected by the proposal are illustrated in the Maps.
The Commission has appointed BDO to investigate the proposal.
The Inquiry investigation considers topics across five matters:
- Financial Matters
- Land Use and Planning Matters
- Council Employee Matters
- Representation Matters
- Community Matters.
At the conclusion of the investigation, BDO will provide the Commission with an independent report on its findings and recommendations. The Commission will then make its own recommendations on the proposal to the Minister for Local Government.
Engagement is an important part of the Inquiry. BDO will be undertaking public consultation about the areas affected by the boundary change proposal. Public consultation is open now until 20 June 2025.
BDO welcomes feedback on the boundary change proposal from residents and ratepayers, community and business groups, other stakeholders and the general public about the potential impacts of the proposed boundary changes.
Your feedback will inform BDO’s investigation and recommendations to the Commission.
