Consultation Update

Consultation on the draft Dog and Cat Management (Cat Management) Amendment Bill 2024 was open from 10 July to 04 September 2024.

The feedback provided through stakeholder conversations and public consultation has identified improvements to the draft Bill. The Department for Environment and Water will coordinate the amendments process, as well as prepare a state-wide cat management strategy for public consultation mid-2025.
