The Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) is seeking feedback on how we can enhance our service to better support you as parents in your role with infants and young children, into the future.

What is being decided?

Children need the very best start in life to help them become healthy, strong, resilient, and creative. We know that some children and families need more help and support, and that some children have a better start in life than others.

The Australian Early Development Census shows that many South Australian children are vulnerable and may be at risk of delayed development. That’s why it’s so important for organisations that support children and their families in the early years, to continually refocus and review the way their services are arranged and delivered to make sure they meet the needs of all children, in particular those most at risk.

With this in mind, we’re asking parents, families and the community to read the two Discussion Papers ‘The Case for Change: Proposing an Enhanced Service Delivery Framework’ and ‘Recognising the Strength of Culture: Aboriginal Cultural Response’. Both Discussion Papers contain six questions and a seven week consultation period is provided to review the papers and provide feedback. Download a copy of both Discussion Papers:

How can I get involved?

Each paper contains six questions for you to answer. You do not have to provide an individual response, you are welcome to get together with friends, family or work colleagues to provide a group response.

There are a number of options for providing feedback to CaFHS:
