What we're doing
The Council for the Care of Children, Save the Children Australia and the Office for Children and Young People are asking South Australians under 18 what type of person should be a Commissioner for Children and Young People and what they should do.
In 2015, Australia has been a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the rights of the Child (UNCRC) for 25 years and the SA Government's proposed legislation, if passed, will establish a Commissioner for Young People in South Australia.

at home, school, in the community and online
2) A Commissioner for Children & Young People in SA, including:
what type of person should a Commissioner be?
what should a Commissioner do?
how should a Commissioner find out from young people what’s important to them?
A report of participants’ views will be provided to the Minister for Education and Child Development by in July 2015, with the aim of informing the recruitment, selection and operation of a Commissioner.
