Consultation Update

The YourSAy survey for Chowilla (Foley’s Shack) campsite consultation was open from 25 August to 6 October 2023. There were 185 participants who visited the project and 22 participants that completed the survey.

The feedback provided will be used to guide the future development and management of the park campsites. The survey was not seeking feedback on whether the unauthorised shack should remain within the park, so although this feedback has been received and noted, it does not change the decision to remove the infrastructure.

Those participants who wanted to receive further updates will be consulted in the future and a site visit organised to discuss those aspects such as interpretation signage and campsite design.
