Reviewing CreateSA grants programs and processes
Help shape the future of CreateSA’s grants program.
What is being decided?
CreateSA is reviewing how its grants are delivered. We want to hear from people who have applied for, received, assessed, or been involved in CreateSA grants. Your feedback will help identify what’s working well and what could be improved.
This is a review only. There are no changes to current programs or processes while the review is underway. All existing contestable grant programs continue to operate as usual.
Background
CreateSA provides grants to support artists, musicians, organisations and creative projects across South Australia.
This includes funding through CreateSA’s arts and culture grants program and the Music Development Office.
As part of the A Place to Create Delivery Plan 2025-27 and following the Artists at Work Taskforce, CreateSA is committed to improving how grants are delivered. This review will help ensure CreateSA’s grants align with the intent of the new state cultural policy, A Place to Create.
CreateSA wants to better understand the experiences of applicants, recipients, and assessors who have engaged with the grants process, from application and assessment through to notification and acquittal.
Your feedback will help shape the future of CreateSA’s grants programs.

What are the next steps?
CreateSA will gather feedback through a survey and targeted workshops with stakeholders. All feedback will be considered to inform recommendations for the future design of CreateSA’s future grants programs and processes.
No changes will be made until the review is complete and any recommendations are approved for implementation.
