We invited communities to contribute their ideas and suggestions as to how we could work together for a stronger future.
To create a successful plan for northern Adelaide, we sought information and ideas from the people who know the area best. We heard from people of all ages, from a cross section of cultural backgrounds, both employed and unemployed across northern Adelaide.

We have now created a community engagement summary report, which details what we heard throughout our engagement activities.

Background
In 2015 we consulted on the Northern Adelaide Directions Paper as follows:
We want to know your thoughts on what Adelaide’s north should look like, if it’s to provide jobs, security, and healthy and happy families and communities for generations to come.
- What are the existing strengths of northern Adelaide and how can we build on them?
- What industries should we focus on?
- What do you think it takes to create a thriving community?
- How can we make this happen?
- How can we work together to build a thriving future for northern Adelaide where people can find jobs and business can prosper and expand?
- How can we work together to foster community resilience and confidence?
Why we want your feedback
By engaging with the community, key future directions and the vision for northern Adelaide will be influenced by the people who live, work, study and play in the region. We're working together to increase confidence about the future of northern Adelaide - we want to seize new opportunities in expanding industries to support growth and jobs creation.
Your participation and feedback will ensure your social and community needs are included in the plan.
The result will be a plan that identifies the projects you consider most valuable in shaping the future of the north, and the action required to get there.
We will be collecting your feedback until Sunday 18 October, 6.00pm. It will contribute to the development of the northern Adelaide economic plan.
