Crown Land Management Regulations
Consultation has concluded
We are seeking feedback on the draft Crown Land Management Regulations 2024.
What's being decided?
We are proposing new regulations to further support the administration and management of Crown land.
Consultation on the draft regulations is now open and we are seeking feedback from the community.
Background
We formed and consolidated Crown land legislation when the Crown Land Management Act 2009 commenced.
A small number of regulations support the Act. The Crown Land Management Regulations 2010 were due to expire on 1 September 2021. The expiry was postponed allowing for a review and development of new regulations to further support the administration and management of Crown land.
The draft regulations relate to:
- Crown land sales
- flexible occupation periods
- restricting activities for environmental benefits and,
- limiting access to ensure public health and safety.
