This online engagement was hosted on YourSAy from 18 March to 15 April 2021. Below is a record of the engagement.

Have your say on the draft Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Plan and the programs that will be delivered across all priority areas.

What is being decided?

We want your feedback about the draft Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Plan (draft Plan) which sets the vision and priorities for the region to achieve sustainable landscape management.

The draft plan, and Supporting documents, focus on the region’s key landscape requirements and the programs that will be delivered across all priority areas of:

  • land
  • water
  • nature
  • climate
  • community

Focus areas and strategies, located within the draft Plan, spell out in more detail what needs to be done in the next 5 years to achieve improvements across these priority areas.

We'd like to know your thoughts about the Plan and if there is anything we have missed or could be improved.

Get involved

Read the draft Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Plan including the Supporting documents.

To have your say:

  • join the online discussion
    • what do you think of the draft Plan?
    • what do you feel is missing or would improve the draft Plan?
  • provide your feedback via email to hfplan@sa.gov.au
  • If your organisation is interested in collaborating, please fill out this form

How can your input influence the decision?

Your input will help to identify any issues that the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board should consider in finalising the plan and in its future programs.

What are the next steps?

The Board will consider your feedback and, where possible, incorporate it into the final Plan.

The Plan will be the basis for action and partnerships to protect and better manage the landscapes of the Hills and Fleurieu region.

Once approved, the Plan will be published on this site and the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board website, after 30 June 2021.

This online engagement was hosted on YourSAy from 18 March to 15 April 2021. Below is a record of the engagement.

In July 2020, a new way of managing South Australian landscapes was introduced with the Landscape South Australia Act 2019 replacing the former Natural Resources Management Act 2004.

Given this change, one of the first key tasks for the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board has been to develop a new Regional Landscape Plan.

The Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board has developed the draft Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Plan to guide the landscape stewardship and restoration of our Hills and Fleurieu region.

The new plan was developed based on previous community forums and surveys. It builds on the foundation of scientific, local and traditional knowledge that exists about the region.

It reflects the community’s call for urgent action to restore and protect our land, water, nature and climate.

Read the draft Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Plan including the Supporting documents and get involved.
