Department for Education Digital Strategy

Help us develop a new education digital strategy to enhance teaching and learning and improve outcomes in our preschools, schools and corporate areas.

What's being decided?

As part of our plan to build world-class education in South Australia, the Department for Education is developing a new digital strategy. It will set a clear vision for using digital technology across our education system, now and into the future.

The digital strategy will focus on 4 key themes:

  • improving and enhancing teaching and learning
  • a productive workplace
  • effective data use
  • alignment to broader government opportunities.

It will also aim to continue to improve digital connections in every classroom across South Australia, providing real and immediate outcomes for children and young people.

Your experiences of digital technology and education are important. Your feedback will help us understand more about people’s use and perceptions of digital technology in our public education system.

We want to know more about how well our system uses digital technology, and where we could make improvements.

Background

Over the last 3 years, the Department for Education has focussed heavily on implementing modern ICT infrastructure: connecting schools and preschools to high-speed internet, upgrading devices and software and investing in new systems and processes.

Now it’s time to use that technology for world-class teaching and learning.

In 2021, we will design a new digital strategy that will leverage our new infrastructure to enhance teaching and learning and improve outcomes in our preschools, schools and corporate areas.

How can your input influence the decision?

Your experiences of digital technology and education are important. Your feedback will help us understand how well our system uses digital technology and where we can improve. This will ultimately help us decide what reforms we should pursue as part of the new digital strategy.
