What is being decided?

We know that people can find it hard to enter and maintain private rental tenancies. This can be due to a range of factors such as low incomes, discrimination, or difficulty with the application process.

We know that one in three people rent their home in South Australia, including half of the state’s low-income households. The large majority of those low-income households pay such a large portion of their income towards rent that they struggle to meet other costs of living.

We all want to understand the challenges people face, so we can look at options for addressing these challenges in a fair and sustainable manner.

How will your input be used?

Your input will ensure we consider a wide range of perspectives in our recommendations to the SA Government. in addition to the discussions online, focus groups will be held to more deeply understand the key issues at the end of February 2016. Survey results and a summary of all feedback received will be published on YourSAy.
