Flood risk information stakeholder consultation
Have your say on how you would like to provide and access flood risk information online.
What's being decided?
We are developing a new or improved way of collecting, managing and providing flood risk information in South Australia. We are seeking feedback on your needs and preferences. Your input will be used to inform the project so we can make valuable flood risk information easy to provide and access online.
Background
The Department for Environment and Water (DEW) is developing a new or improved online resource to provide flood risk information to South Australians.
Community, businesses and government will benefit from flood risk information to help them make informed decisions, leading to reduced risks to life and property.
The South Australian Government has committed $818,000 towards the project.
The project aims to improve the collation, storage, and dissemination of flood studies and flood maps in South Australia. DEW will consolidate and update existing systems and processes as well as develop new standards for flood studies and data sharing.
We aim to understand how you currently provide and access flood risk information, the challenges you face and what features or improvements would make the process easier for you.
