A new Housing Strategy for South Australia will seek to pursue new rental supply initiatives and encourage more investment new rental.

Reforms to the legislation are being proposed to improve the protections available to private tenants, whilst recognising that these protections need to be balanced against the interests of private landlords for whom private rental properties are a significant investment. Reforms are also proposed to improve the protections available to private tenants in boarding houses and rental villages.
