Housing SA has recently led major strategic reform of the homelessness sector in South Australia. Reforms sought to promote best practice principles consistently throughout the sector.

Further changes are being proposed as part of a new Housing Strategy for South Australia. These include a common housing register, simplified eligibility assessment, and a coordinated, integrated case management approach to help people through crisis accommodation to stable, ongoing accommodation and support.
