Consultation update

Consultation was undertaken in early 2023 to seek community views on what is important for water security in the McLaren Vale region. The feedback helped to inform the water security vision, which will be included in a water security strategy for the region.

Workshops are progressing during 2023-24 to inform the water security strategy and regular updates are being provided on the Department for Environment and Water website.

A draft of the water security strategy will be released for consultation after the third and final workshop to be held in mid-2024. This will provide community members with an opportunity to review and provide feedback on the strategy before it is finalised and implemented.
