Murray Mallee National Parks and Wildlife Service fire management plans review

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) develops fire management plans to guide fire management activities on South Australian reserves and crown land.

These plans determine the placement of fire management zones, recommend improvements for fire access and infrastructure (e.g. water sources) and identify policies to reduce risks to park staff and visitors. The plans also identify strategies to maintain and enhance ecological values within reserves. (Note they do not identify where individual prescribed burns are planned).

NPWS is reviewing and redeveloping existing plans across the Riverland and Murraylands region and part of the Limestone Coast region, and we are seeking your feedback on them to guide improvements.

Please take a look at the following questions and let us know your thoughts. This survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, depending on the depth of your responses. Consultation closes Monday 21 April 2025.
