Monarto Parks Draft Management Plan
Have your say on the Monarto Parks Draft Management Plan.
What's being decided?
The Monarto Parks Draft Management Plan outlines the objectives and strategies that will set the direction for the long-term management of the following conservation parks:
- Ferries-McDonald
- Kinchina
- Monarto
- Monarto Woodlands
Your feedback will inform the final plan, which will be the first adopted management plan for each of the parks, once adopted.
Background
Park management plans are the primary public accountability document for each of South Australia’s parks. Management plans set strategic direction and explain how parks are managed.
The management direction, objectives, and strategies outlined in this plan have been developed by the Department for Environment and Water with input from, key stakeholders, park managers and technical experts.
The parks in this plan have similar ecological and geographic features and are subject to the same range of issues. Establishing one management plan supports a consistent approach to biodiversity conservation and public visitation across these parks.
