FAQs
Are there any known Aboriginal sites within the Application Area?
Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation is aware of at least 16 Aboriginal sites of archaeological significance within the Application Area. A map showing the approximate location of these sites within the Application Area is available here. Several of these sites would be directly impacted by the Applicant's proposal.
Please refer to the Consultation Information Pack or the Public Consultation Notice for further information regarding Aboriginal heritage relevant to the Application Area.
Will there be a public meeting to discuss this application?
In order to minimise the potential spread of COVID-19, no public meeting is proposed for this application. Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation will liaise with the Applicant to facilitate teleconferences with consultees upon request. For further details, please call (08) 8303 0739 or visit the DPC-AAR website.
Submissions can be lodged until Thursday 17 March 2022.
Why are the documents marked 'Amended'?
The Consultation Information Pack provides detailed information about this Project, including maps.
Since the Consultation Information Pack was first made available for download on YourSAy on Tuesday, 15 February 2022, the Applicant has provided Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation (AAR) with additional information about its intended on-site accommodation locations. As a result, AAR has updated the information on page 4, under the 'Accommodation' sub-heading.
The associated maps now show an additional 'infrastructure boundary' area, coloured orange, immediately east of site 6823-7936.
Consultees are encouraged to rely on the updated information.
