How will the information I provide be used?

    The information you provide will assist SAFA and Democracy Co to inform the content and preparation of workshops, where participants will be able to deliver feedback, share further information and raise issues that may have not yet been considered. 

    The outcomes from this sector survey and workshops will assist SAFA in developing an SA specific PSA longer-term solution ahead of the expiry of the short-term arrangement.

    Who will the information I provide be given to?

    The information provided will be shared with SAFA and Democracy Co at first instance for the above purpose. The outcomes from this sector survey and subsequent workshops will also be shared with SAFA's contracted actuarial firm to asst with development of the SA specific PSA longer-term solution. 

    There is limited scope for dissemination and the data will be analysed in aggregate, not associated with any individual organisation, hence why no identifying details regarding your organisation have been asked.

    Why is South Australian Government undertaking this project?

    In SA, SAFA developed a short-term indemnity arrangement to ensure the continuity of critical services provided by NGOs to South Australian government for vulnerable children and young people in care. SAFA sought approval from the Treasurer to formalise a short-term indemnity arrangement for affected NGOs, with strict terms and conditions applicable. The arrangement is in place until 30 September 2025.

    SA is undertaking activities to develop its own jurisdiction specific PSA longer-term solution ahead of the expiry of the short-term arrangement, commencing with this sector survey.
