Why is this change needed?
Hackham is evolving as a suburb with a new proposed master planned community that will change the nature of the existing suburb, creating a unique identity for a new and growing community. To align the suburb name with the future vision of the area and create a new identity, it is proposed to rename the part of the suburb that is being redeveloped.
What is being proposed?
The portion of Hackham south of Hepenstal Road is proposed to be renamed Onkaparinga Heights.
Will any residences or addresses be affected?
A number of existing residents south of Hepenstal Road will be affected by the proposed suburb name change.
What is the status of the proposed master planned development?
An application for the new residential development has not yet been lodged.
