South Eastern Water Conservation and Drainage Board Management Plan 2025-2028
What's being decided?
We have developed a draft Management Plan 2025-2028 (the Plan) to guide the operations of the South Eastern Water Conservation and Drainage Board (SEWCDB) for the next three years.
The Plan acts as a strategic guide and is reviewed throughout the three-year period to ensure the Plan is aligned with evolving SEWCDB strategic objectives and that the objectives of the Plan are being met.
We are seeking feedback before finalising the draft.
Background
The SEWCDB has a key vision to balance the needs between sustainable and productive agriculture and healthy water dependent ecosystems across the South East (Limestone Coast) of South Australia.
The SEWCDB is pleased to be able to provide the draft Management Plan 2025-2028 for consultation.
The Plan outlines the priority management measures to be undertaken by the SEWCDB on behalf of the South East community of South Australia over the next three years to meet the objectives of the Act.
The Plan has three key goals:
Goal 1: Manage the South East Drainage Network to minimise flooding to agricultural land and retain water to benefit primary production, connected groundwater systems and wetlands
Goal 2: Maintain infrastructure assets
Goal 3: Maintain land and drainage corridors
Each of the goals has priority strategies and specific actions detailed in the Plan.

What are the next steps?
We will consider your feedback to inform the final draft of the South Eastern Water Conservation and Drainage Board Management Plan 2025-2028 and will share a summary of feedback on this site.
We will release the final Plan later this year and a copy will be available on this page.
