Small Central Lofty Parks Draft Management Plan

Have your say on the Small Central Lofty Parks Draft Management Plan.

What's being decided?

The Small Central Lofty Parks Draft Management Plan outlines the objectives and strategies that will set the direction for the long-term management of Mark Oliphant, Mount George, Mylor and the Knoll conservation parks.

Background

Park management plans are the primary public accountability document for each of South Australia’s parks. Management plans set strategic direction and explain how parks are managed.

The management direction, objectives, and strategies outlined in this plan have been developed by the Department for Environment and Water with input from, key stakeholders, park managers and technical experts.

The parks in this plan have similar ecological and geographic features and are subject to the same range of issues. Establishing one management plan supports a consistent approach to biodiversity conservation and public visitation across these parks.

Once complete, this plan will be the first adopted management plan for Mylor and the Knoll conservation parks and will replace the existing management plans for Mark Oliphant and Mount George conservation parks.
