What is this consultation about?

South Australia Police has developed a draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan for 2025–2029. We’re seeking your feedback to ensure the actions in the plan reflect the priorities and experiences of people living with disability, their families, carers, and the wider community.

    Why are these actions important?

These actions guide how South Australia Police will improve accessibility and embed inclusion across our policing services and workplace. Your feedback helps us make sure the actions are practical, meaningful, and focused on removing barriers for people with disability.

Who can take part in the consultation?

Anyone can contribute. We particularly encourage people with disability, families, carers, disability organisations, advocates, and members of the South Australian community to participate in the consultation.

    How can I provide feedback?

    You can:

    • Complete the online submission form (it only takes a few minutes)
    • Download the paper survey and email your complete survey to SAPOL.DiversityandInclusion@police.sa.gov.au
    • Post a written submission to:
      South Australia Police

    • If you’d like to speak with us, email your name and phone number and we’ll arrange a suitable time to talk

How will my feedback be used?

All feedback will be reviewed to refine the final Disability Access and Inclusion Plan before it is published.

    What happens next?

After the consultation closes, SAPOL will review all feedback, make any necessary changes, and finalise the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2025–2029.

When will the final plan be released?

The final plan will be published in early 2026.
