FAQs
What is the discussion paper for?
This discussion paper is the start of consultation with South Australians to provide direct input into the development of a new State Cultural Policy.
To develop a policy which accurately reflects the aspirations and needs of the sector and community for which it is intended, we need to draw on the expertise, experiences and advice of all people who engage with the arts, culture and creative sector.
This discussion paper is an invitation to share your voice.
The feedback we receive will help us create a new State Cultural Policy and set a long-term vision for the arts, culture and creative sector in South Australia.
Do I have to answer every question in the survey?
When completing the survey, you can answer all the questions or just choose the areas you are most interested in - simply skip anything that you are not interested in.
There are no mandatory questions.
How can I respond to the questions in the discussion paper?
We want to hear from you about where we should focus our efforts to ensure that we build on our strengths and can develop a policy that makes a meaningful contribution to South Australia and the nation.
To provide responses to any or all of "our big questions", please provide your responses via our online submission form.
How can I participate further?
We encourage all artists, creative businesses, organisations and education providers to contribute insights to inform the policy.
This is only the beginning: setting a goal for how we stand out and contribute locally, nationally and internationally. Future workshops will refine this goal, and establish actions for how we will achieve it.
Beyond the survey and discussion paper, further engagement with the arts, culture and creative sector will take the form of workshops and an online town hall meeting.
You can register your interest in participating in a workshop and/or online town hall meeting here.
Who can I contact for further information?
