Consultation update

Thank you for your interest and participation regarding infrastructure options to improve the Coorong’s long term health. We received a good response to our consultation and have now reviewed all feedback.

The YourSAy consultation helped us to gather community input to assess and shortlist a range of potential infrastructure options for further investigation.

The means that the following options will progress forward for feasibility checks:

• A connection between the Coorong South Lagoon and Southern Ocean
• Coorong Lagoon dredging to improve connectivity
• Lake Albert to Coorong Connector
• Further augmentation of South East Flows to the Coorong
• Additional automated barrage gates.

This will be an investigation into feasibility at this stage and not a decision to proceed with any of these concepts.

Further community consultation will be required on any option deemed feasible before any decision would be made.
