Consultation summary report and next steps available

Thank you for your interest in the Future of single-use plastics in South Australia.

Consultation on Green Industries SA’s (GISA) discussion paper Turning the Tide 2021: The future of single-use plastic in South Australia was open from 5 December 2021 to 19 February 2022.

Following the consultation period, a review of all submissions received was undertaken.

Based on the submissions received and further analysis, all products featured in Turning the Tide 2021 will be banned.

Turning the Tide on Single-use Plastic Products: Next steps 2022 provides an outline of the products that will be banned, and the timeline for this.

The Single-use Plastics Consultation Summary Report provides a summary of submissions received throughout the consultation period.

GISA thanks the individuals and organisations for their feedback and suggestions, and we will employ this to provide sensible strategies and timelines for the future implementation of the Single-use and Other Plastic Products Act 2020.
