The Open Data Action Plan brings this declaration into practice, and the Government wants to focus its efforts on data that can help you.

What is data?

Data is ‘raw’ information that the government collects, generates and stores. It’s things like the performance of our hospitals and schools, traffic information, crime statistics, geospatial data, demographic details and much more.

Open data has the potential to empower citizens with information, advance research and improve our economy.
