Consultation has concluded

We would like your help to build a more inclusive South Australia for people living with a disability.

What's being decided?

We are developing 4 "how to" toolkits to support and promote accessible and inclusive practices for people living with disability.

The toolkits have been drafted and we want to ensure they reflect the needs of the community.

Your feedback will inform the final toolkits. You can help us identify gaps, recognise what is working well and highlight areas for improvement.

Background

As part of South Australia's first disability inclusion plan Inclusive SA 2019-2023, we are creating the toolkits as a resource for State Government agencies and local councils to support inclusive practices.

Inclusive SA outlines whole-of-government actions being taken across South Australia to improve access and inclusion for people living with disability.

The toolkits cover:

We would like to hear from the South Australian community, especially people with lived experience of disability, to ensure the toolkits reflect community needs.

You can help us in 2 ways:

  • Review one or more of the 4 draft toolkits and provide your feedback as to what is working well and what could be improved.
  • Share your lived experiences of disability with us. Tell us about any access and inclusion challenges you (or people you know) may have faced, and your ideas for making South Australia more accessible and inclusive.

We will consider your feedback to finalise the accessible and inclusive toolkits. We will share a summary of the feedback we receive on this site.

Once finalised, the toolkits will be available on the Inclusive SA website for everyone to access.
