Southern Barossa Winery and Tourist Accommodation Project – decision update

The Minister for Planning has approved the Southern Barossa Winery and Tourist Accommodation Project, subject to reserved matters and conditions.

Public consultation on the project’s Environmental Impact Statement was undertaken between 5 November and 17 December 2025. During the consultation period, 237 written submissions were received from the community, stakeholders and referral agencies.

A What We Heard report summarising the key issues raised during consultation (provided to engagement participants in February 2026), along with the proponent’s response document, informed the Department for Housing and Urban Development’s assessment of the proposal and its advice to the Minister for Planning.
