Consultation has concluded
We’d like to understand what it’s like for you to use a smartphone, tablet or computer?
What is digital inclusion?
Being digitally included means you have access to information online in an easy to use and convenient way.
About the project
More and more of South Australia’s public services are being offered online. Online services offer many benefits, but for some in our community, they may also create barriers to access.
Ensuring fair access for all South Australians is a priority issue for the South Australian Government. With this in mind, the SA Government has begun work on it's first Digital Inclusion Strategy.
The strategy will include initiatives aimed at addressing the barriers to digital inclusion faced by people in our community.
We’d especially like to hear if you live outside of metropolitan Adelaide, if you have a disability or are an Aboriginal South Australian.
Community focus groups
We are holding focus group sessions with South Australians who experience barriers to digital inclusion to get their feedback on the proposed initiatives. This will help us make sure the initiatives will achieve their intent of helping to address barriers to digital inclusion.
What is involved?
We are inviting you to participate in one 90-minute session run in small groups, over the phone and facilitated by an experienced facilitator. The sessions will be designed to understand participants barriers and perspectives of digital exclusion and test some of our ideas and concepts for the South Australian Digital Inclusion Strategy. Your input in the conversation is vital in the design of this strategy to ensure equitable access for all South Australians.
To let us know you’re interested – please complete the About you section below*.
(*If you can’t, or don’t have someone who can help you fill in the Expression of Interest, please call Brodie on 0404 047 513 during office hours).
What are the next steps?
Once you've filled in this survey you may be contacted to be in one of our telephone focus groups.

We’re looking for people to tell us their experiences of using a smartphone, tablet or computer to look for information, make bookings, fill in forms and connect with other people. It may be that you don’t do it very much, that information is helpful to us as we understand how to make it more accessible.
Would you join a small group conversation which will be a phone or video call next week?
You will be included in a conversation with people who may relate to your experience, so it will help if you can tell us a bit about you.
Your information will be kept private from other group participants and you will not be identified in the notes that we keep.
