Consultation has concluded, thank you for your contributions

We want to hear your feedback on a new management plan for the parks of eastern Kangaroo Island (KI).

What's being decided?

The Parks of Eastern Kangaroo Island Draft Management Plan has been developed to outline long-term objectives and strategies to manage 11 conservation parks across eastern KI.

The draft plan outlines management for Baudin, Beatrice Islet, Busby Islet, Cape Willoughby, Cygnet Estuary, Dudley, Lashmar, Lesueur, Nepean Bay, Pelican Lagoon and Simpson conservation parks.

Your feedback will help shape how the parks are managed into the future.

Background

Park management plans are high level, strategic documents that set direction for the longer-term management of parks, and are required for all parks under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972. The Parks of eastern Kangaroo Island Draft Management Plan clearly outlines the management strategies guiding parks across eastern KI.

We've developed the draft plan with input from key stakeholders, volunteers and experts with an interest in eastern Kangaroo Island parks. It is presented here so that everyone with an interest in the parks can have their say on what park management will look like in the east of Kangaroo Island.
