Stage 1 consultation commences

Stage 1 consultation commences, to inform review of current water allocation plan and drafting of revised plan.

Stage 1 consultation closes & review feedback

From when stage 1 consultation closes in mid February 2025, consider results from the consultation and incorporate into drafting of revised plan.

July 2025

First draft of amended WAP

The first draft of the revised plan will be completed.

August 2025

Stage 2 consultation

From August to September 2025, the Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board will undertake consultation on the first draft of the revised water allocation plan (stage 2).

October 2025

Review stage 2 consultation

From October 2025 onwards, the Eyre Peninisula Landscape Board will consider results from stage 2 of the consultation and incorporate into any further revisions of draft plan.

November 2025

Final plan draft

In November 2025, a final draft plan will be prepared. The draft plan along with a report on the consultation process, will then be submitted to the Minister for Climate, Environment and Water in December 2025 for approval.

January 2026

Revised water allocation plan approved

In January 2026, we would like the revised water allocation plan approved. 

June 2026

New water licences issued

In June 2026, new water licences will need to be issued, in line with any changes that have been made to the Water Allocation Plan.
