Limestone Coast Local Health Network Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
Have your say on the LCLHN Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026-2030
What's being decided?
The Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) is seeking community feedback on its draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026-2030. We want to hear from people living with disability, their families, carers, and support people, to ensure the plan focuses on what matters most and identifies the right actions for improving access and inclusion within the LCLHN.
Feedback will be used to refine the final Plan before it is endorsed and implemented across the region over the next four years.
Background
The state of South Australia has a commitment towards achieving an accessible and inclusive state for people with a disability, which is outlined in the Disability Inclusion Act 2018 (SA). To support this commitment, the State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025-2029 (the State Plan) was released. The LCLHN is considered a State Authority and has a legislative responsibility to develop a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) that reflects the priorities and goals of the State Plan.
The creation of the draft LCLHN DAIP has been driven by a working group that comprises of members from across the health network, and community representatives. The working group includes people with lived experience, and clinical, corporate, and governance expertise. The process has involved collaboration with stakeholders, staff surveys, and engaging people with lived disability experience.
The key aims the Working Group hoped to achieve were:
- To outline clear, measurable actions that will guide how the health network provides services into the future.
- To ensure people with a disability, and their families and carers, have input into how this looks.
- To promote inclusive and accessible health services and workplaces for all consumers and employees, regardless of their physical and mental abilities.
A draft LCLHN DAIP is now available for feedback.
