Consultation has concluded. Below is a record of the engagement.

The SA Health Gender Equality and Diversity Steering Committee is developing and implementing initiatives to assist SA Health in elevating gender equality and diversity at all levels of the organisation.

SA Health acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of the land we live and work upon, and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

PLEASE NOTE THE SA HEALTH FLEXIBLE WORKING SURVEY CLOSING DATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 25 JULY 2022

What's being decided?

In 2020 The SA Health Gender Equality and Diversity Steering Committee (GEDSC) released the committee Strategic Directions 2020 to 2023 with four areas of focus for 2020 to 2023:

  • Promotion and Awareness
  • Performance and Accountability
  • Equality in Action
  • Pathways to Leadership.

Background

The Gender Equality and Diversity Steering Committee is made up of passionate employees from across the SA Health portfolio. We advocate for diversity, are a voice for gender equality, and are a high level influencer of cultural change. Equality, equity, intersectionality, and diversity are our guiding principles.

Gathering data and undertaking further analysis is essential in ascertaining a full understanding of the current culture within SA Health when it comes to gender equality and diversity. By further engaging the diverse and lived experience of our workforce we aim to ensure every South Australian, be they a consumer or a worker with SA Health, reaches the best possible outcomes for their health and wellbeing.
