Seaton Code Amendment finalised

The Seaton Code Amendment has now been finalised and adopted by the Minister for Planning.

The Code amendment rezones approximately 39 hectares of land in Seaton, unlocking opportunities for diverse, medium-to-high density housing.

The rezoning supports delivering about 1,450 new homes in-line with Renewal SA’s urban renewal project and:

  • enables a variety of housing types, including townhouses and apartments
  • allows for taller buildings, increasing the density in a well-connected area.

As a result of feedback received during consultation on the draft Code amendment, the Seaton Urban Renewal concept plan has been developed and included in the amendment.

The concept plan guides development, including intended land uses, locations for public open spaces and an indicative walking and cycling link.

The engagement report includes full details of the feedback received and how it was considered in finalising the Seaton Code Amendment.
