Share your feedback on the draft State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025 - 2029.

What's being decided?

The South Australian Government has made a commitment to our disability community through a dedicated whole-of-government approach to create a fairer and more inclusive society.

The development and implementation of South Australia’s new State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025-2029 (State Plan) will build on the progress we have made and work towards a future where no one is left behind.

We are committed to ensuring the new State Plan accurately reflects the needs and priorities of the disability community and welcome your feedback at this time.

Background

The Government of South Australia introduced the first State Disability Inclusion Plan in 2019, recognising the need for a stronger commitment to access and inclusion for people with disability.

It was a significant milestone in advancing inclusivity across South Australia, bringing State Government agencies and local councils (State authorities) together to foster inclusion and accessibility in new and innovative ways.

With the conclusion of the first State Plan, the government reaffirmed its commitment and conducted a comprehensive statewide consultation to identify key focus areas for the next State Plan. Outcomes from this consultation were summarised in the State Disability Inclusion Plan Consultation Report 2024. This feedback has informed the development of the draft State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029, which is now open for consultation.
