Consultation has concluded

Tell us what you think about our plan

South Australia Police has developed a draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan based on insights gathered from our initial consultation. We now invite you to share your feedback on the draft South Australia Police Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2025 -2029.

Background

South Australia Police is committed to creating a policing environment that is inclusive, accessible, and respectful for all members of the community, including people living with disability and our workforce. This commitment is embedded in South Australia Police’s Vision 2030 and strategic direction and is reflected in our ongoing efforts to ensure services are equitable and responsive to everyone.

In August 2025, the State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029 was released, setting the direction for disability inclusion across South Australia. This plan, along with your feedback have helped shape the development of South Australia Police’s draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (the Plan).

The Plan forms part of a whole-of-government commitment and aligns with the State Plan, which outlines priorities for improving access, inclusion, and participation for people living with disability.

The Plan provides a strategic framework for embedding inclusive practices into everyday policing and workplace culture, addressing barriers, and improving outcomes for people living with disability. It builds on lessons learned from previous plans, insights from meaningful stakeholder engagement, and evolving community expectations.

In the first stage of consultation, we asked for your suggestions on how South Australia Police could improve accessibility and inclusion. This next stage is your opportunity to review the proposed actions before the plan is finalised.
